Shkëlqim Islami is an Albanian actor and screenwriter from North Macedonia, working across theatre, film, television, and commercial productions. He is a resident actor at the Albanian Theatre in Skopje, where he has performed more than 26 roles in productions spanning classical and contemporary theatre.
His stage credits include Hamlet According to Horatio, The Taming of the Shrew, The Physicists, The Crucible, Mirandolina, God’s Official, The Hound of the Baskervilles, The Dinner Game, and Rhinoceros, among many others.
Beyond the stage, Islami has appeared in numerous films and television series in North Macedonia and Kosovo, including the series Rrushe. His work has received recognition at theatre festivals, where he has been awarded Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.
He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Acting from the University of Prishtina. Alongside acting, he works as a screenwriter and has training and experience in creative writing, stage combat, singing, modern dance, horseback riding, and the Stanislavski method. These diverse skills inform his versatile artistic practice across stage and screen.
